Canandaigua, N.Y. - Construction starts today on a new housing facility for the Canandaigua VA Medical Center.
The housing is part of the Cadence Square Project which will specialize in treating veterans with substance abuse and other mental illnesses.
The new facility is expected to open in October of 2013.
