Washington - One of the bills the new 113th Congress will take up Friday, January 4, deals with aid to victims of Superstorm Sandy.

A $60 billion aid package had been approved by the Senate.

However, the last Congress failed to even take up the bill in the House.

This time, the House will likely approve $9 billion of that federal assistance and take up the matter of the remaining $51 billion on January 15.
