Buffalo, N.Y. - An estimated 800 people showed up Monday night at a vigil for five-year-old Isabella Tennant.
Isabella's mother showed up at the vigil but did not speak and only stayed for a few minutes.
Friends and family spoke for her, expressing shock, anger and sadness at the emotions the family must deal with.
"Charissa was a great mom,” said family friend Christina Conte. “She rose every morning to work to provide a great life for her daughter.”
Two teens are being charged today in connection with the crime.
John Robert Freeman, 16, is charged with second degree murder
Tyler Scott Best, 18, who is charged with tampering with evidence, originally went to the police to tell them where the body was.
An autopsy will be conducted today on Isabella to determine exactly how she died.
