Brockport, N.Y. - The Brockport Central School Board selected Dr. Lesli Myers as the next superintendent.
Myers will succeed Superintendent Garry Stone who will retire at the end of this month.
Myers comes to Brockport from the Ithaca City School District where she has served as the assistant superintendent since 2007. Prior to her current position, Myers served in the Greece Central School District as director of student and career support and coordinator of student support and enrichment.
She also held the titles of school counselor and house administrator for the Rochester City School District, where she worked for nine years.
Myers looks forward to moving her family to Brockport Central School District and immersing herself into the community.
“I am so appreciative of the confidence shown in me to be Brockport’s next superintendent,” said Myers. “I am also excited to join such a collaborative community, which is known for being extremely supportive of the district and education.”
Myers starts as superintendent in July, pending contract negotiations.
