Rochester, N.Y. - The Rochester City School Board is asking for community input to decide the future of School 16.
The John Walton Spencer School No. 16 on Post Avenue has had infrastructure problems.
Until repairs can be made, RCSD Superintendent Bolgen Vargas is proposing three ideas:
- Move Pre-Kindergarten through 8th grades to a different building
- Move grades 7 and 8 to a satellite program in another building
- Move students in grades 6, 7 and 8 to another school
A public hearing is scheduled for Thursday night at 6 p.m. in the third-floor conference room in the Central Office Building at 131 W. Broad St.
