Rochester, N.Y. - The first of 15 public meetings will be held Monday night---to explore a plan to close or merge some city schools.
These meetings will give parents, teachers and staff a chance to learn more about the proposal and speak up about why their school shouldn't be closed.
The $625 million proposal would close 5 aging buildings and move some of the students and staff to other buildings.
The plan needs school board and state approval.
The first meeting will be Monday, November 5, at School # 3 on Adams Street.
It starts at 5:30.
