Rochester, N.Y. – Computer users beware: a new virus could rob you blind.
The virus not only allows hackers to steal money from bank accounts, but also covers their tracks. RIT professor Nick Francesco says on a scale of one to ten, this virus is a 15.
Francesco says the virus is highly sophisticated, but anti-virus software is quickly updating to catch it. “My suggestion: don’t go to your [online] bank in the next couple of days until the anti-virus is updated and protected from this thing.”
He also suggests choosing a password of at least 17 characters. The longer a password is, the harder it is for hackers to crack.
