Rochester, N.Y. - 'Watson,' the super-computer that defeated 'Jeopardy' contestants in 2011, is coming to Rochester Tuesday.
RIT students will get an up-close look at the technology behind the IBM mega-computer from Stephan Roorda, a 2001 RIT graduate and developer at IBM.
Scientists hope one day the technology could help doctors and engineers analyze large amounts of data quickly.
The presentation is free and open to the public and runs from noon to 1 p.m. in the Golisano Hall Auditorium.
