Philadelphia, PA (Sports Network) - A police investigation involving a member of the Brooklyn Nets is ongoing in Philadelphia, where reports indicate that a woman may have been sexually assaulted in a hotel room.

The Nets are scheduled to face the Philadelphia 76ers on Tuesday night.

NBC10-TV in Philadelphia cites police as saying a woman was taken from the Four Seasons hotel in Philadelphia to a local hospital early Tuesday morning. She apparently told police that she was raped by someone in the hotel.

The report also said a Nets player was in the hotel suite at the time of the alleged incident. It also said the player was not in the room where it may have occurred.

Nets general manager Billy King acknowledged through a press release that the team is "aware of the ongoing police investigation" and said the team will have "no further comment until the investigation has concluded."

According to NBC10-TV, the unidentified Nets player, a 41-year-old man and a 25-year-old man were taken into custody for questioning.
