New York, NY (Sports Network) - Denver Broncos quarterback Peyton Manning, Houston Texans defensive end J.J. Watt and Cincinnati Bengals kicker Josh Brown have been selected as the AFC's top players for the month of December.

Manning picked up the offensive award for a record-tying sixth time after throwing for 1,399 yards and 11 touchdowns while completing 70.7 percent of his passes. Manning matched Tom Brady for the most player of the month honors since the institution of the system in 1986.

Watt earned the defensive honor after registering 27 tackles and leading the NFL in sacks (six) and forced fumbles (four).

Brown converted 11 of his 12 field goal attempts to collect the special teams award.
