Korea's Han Chang-won closed with a two-
under 70 Sunday to win the inaugural Asian Amateur Championship.
Han completed the championship at 12-under-par 276.
The victory earned Han a spot in the field at the 2010 Masters and he also
gets into the International Final Qualifying for the British Open, which will
be contested on the Old Course at St. Andrews.
"I knew I was leading by five or six after the first nine holes, but I was
trying not to think about the result," Han admitted.
"Anything can happen in a round of golf and I was very nervous towards the
end. I have to admit that it was the thought of playing in the Masters that
made me nervous. I had never even thought it would be possible for me to be
playing in the Masters as an amateur."
The 17-year-old Han finished five strokes clear of countryman Eric Chun (73).
Kim Meen-whee (71), Peter Spearman-Burn (72) and Jordan Sherratt (73) shared
third place at six-under-par 282.
