The Columbus Blue Jackets activated defenseman Jan Hejda off injured reserve Wednesday.

Hejda had been sidelined since October 13 with a sprained left knee. It had been reported by the Columbus Dispatch that the injury would sideline the fourth-year defenseman from four-to-six weeks.

Hejda was injured late in a 2-1 win over Calgary on October 13, when he collided with Flames forward Curtis Glencross.

Prior to the injury, he had one assist with a plus-eight rating.
