New York, NY (Sports Network) - The National Hockey League issued a four-game suspension to Philadelphia Flyers forward Harry Zolnierczyk on Sunday.

Zolnierczyk was given a major for charging and a game misconduct near the midway point of the first period in a 2-1 Flyers win, after issuing a hard hit to Ottawa defenseman Mike Lundin. Lundin left Saturday's game and did not return with a suspected head injury.

Under the terms of the Collective Bargaining Agreement, and based on his average annual salary, Zolnierczyk will forfeit $12,972.96. The money goes to the Players' Emergency Assistance Fund.

The 25-year-old winger will not be eligible to return until a Mar. 13 game at New Jersey.
