Can you ID witnesses to homicide?
Rochester, N.Y. --- The mother of a young man shot and killed last month is hoping that you can help Rochester Police investigators identify witnesses to the double-shooting.
It happened on September 5th around 5 p.m. on Lyell Avenue near the intersection of Saratoga Avenue.
The Rochester Police Department said David Campbell, 37, and Raheem Williams, 22, were both shot by a man who fled the scene on a bicycle. Campbell survived but Williams died at the hospital.
"I mean everybody's hurt by this especially me and his father, Angela Sellers, the mother of Raheem Williams told 13WHAM News.
Police investigators provided 13WHAM News and CrimeStoppers with images of individuals known to have witness the shooting. They are now looking for people to help identify these witnesses in order to help the investigation narrow in on the shooter.
"I know people are afraid to talk and they don't want to be hurt either but sometimes you have to do the right thing and get these people off the street because it could be your child or someone important to you, said Sellers.
If you have information that could help investigators you are asked to call CrimeStoppers at 585-423-9300.
You can remain anonymous and could receive a cash reward if your tip helps lead to an arrest.
