Study says 8.6 million take sleeping pills
U.S. - Many Americans go beyond counting sheep when they're trying to get to sleep.
A new, first-of-its kind study found that 8.6 million Americans take prescription sleeping pills.
The CDC study found that most of those people were white, female, educated and 50 years or older.
However, experts think that's only part of the picture. They estimate there are millions more who try over-the-counter options, or simply suffer through sleepless nights.
