A-Rod booed in Chicago

Chicago - Yankees star Alex Rodriguez got a sour reception Monday night against the White Sox.

A-Rod took the field despite a 211-game suspension handed down by major league baseball for his alleged connection to a Florida clinic accused of distributing performance-enhancing drugs.

Rodriguez is allowed to continue playing while he appeals the penalty.

“For me personally, I just want to get back to playing baseball, playing hard and playing with a lot of intensity,” Rodriguez said.

A dozen other players accepted shorter suspensions on Monday.
