Fire consumes N.J. Boardwalk
N.J. - For the second time in less than a year, much of the New Jersey Boardwalk burned beyond recognition.
The massive fire that broke out late Thursday is under control Friday morning, thanks to a last ditch effort by firefighters.
They ripped out a 25 foot swath of the boardwalk and filled the space with sand to stop the fire from spreading.
The fire destroyed more than 50 businesses damaged by Superstorm Sandy last October.
Smoke could be seen for miles.
