Kennedy cousin granted new trial
New Haven, Conn. - A judge has granted a new trial for a Kennedy cousin convicted in a 1975 murder.
The judge ruled Michael Skakel's attorney failed to adequately represent him in a 2002 trial ending in conviction.
Skakel is the nephew of Robert F Kennedy's widow Ethel.
He is serving 20-years-to-life for the killing of Martha Moxley. They were both 15 at the time.
This latest ruling follows years of unsuccessful appeals.
