$50,000 reward for information on mail truck robbery

Rochester, N.Y. - The U.S. Postal Inspection Service is offering an award to anyone with information about a carjacking on Ridgeway Avenue.

As 13WHAM News previously reported, a mailman was carjacked at gunpoint on September 28 shortly before noon. The USPI is offering up to $50,000 to anyone with information about the incident.

According to the USPI, three suspects driving a tan-gold vehicle cut off a U.S. Postal Service van.

Apparently one of the suspects approached the van and ordered the mailman out of the vehicle at gunpoint. The suspects drove away from the scene and the van was later discovered near Flower City Park.

The suspect is said to be in his mid-20's, approximately 5'9", 150 pounds and a Hispanic or light-complexioned black male. When the incident occurred he was wearing a black-hooded sweatshirt and a grey-blue scarf.

Authorities warn to not approach the suspects and they should be considered armed and dangerous. Anyone with information should contact the U.S. Postal Inspection Service at 877-876-2455.
