Vote on Webster budget Thursday

Webster, N.Y. Taxes could be going up slightly for Webster residents of the town board passes a proposed 2014 budget at a meeting tonight.

The nearly $22 million budget calls for a two percent increase in the tax levy. That would bump the village tax rate up three cents to just over $4.00 per one thousand in assessed value.

Outside the village, the rate would go up four cents to $.53 per one thousand dollars.
If approved, it would be the second year in a row for tax increases.
