Webster school secretary stole $9,200

Rochester, N.Y. - A Webster Central School District secretary has been charged with larceny and falsifying records following an investigation by the Webster Police.

The WCSD contacted the Webster Police Department after discovering multiple discrepancies in record keeping at Webster Schroeder High School.

Following a four month investigation, police discovered that Karen Allen, 55, stole checks totaling $9,200.

Police said Allen, a secretary at the high school, intercepted the checks from the mail and deposited them into her personal bank account. The investigation showed that Allen falsified business documents and possessed forged instruments.

Allen will return to court on October 29 at 3 p.m.
