Police: Texting, yelling led to car crash

Lyons, N.Y. - A Pennsylvania woman was arrested after crashing her car in the town of Lyons.

The Wayne County Sheriff's Department said Alicia Gardner, 24, was yelling and screaming at two step-siblings in the backseat, and texting, at the time of the crash, which took place on Wayne Center Road.

Two children, both minors, were in the car. Both were injured, one of them seriously. An infant, also in the car, was not hurt.

Gardner, from Avonmore, PA, is charged with three counts of endangering the welfare of a child and one count of second-degree assault.
