Man pleads guilty to robbing six NY banks

Buffalo, N.Y. - A Rochester man pleaded guilty Friday to robbing to six banks throughout New York, including one in Irondequoit.

U.S. Attorney William J. Hochul, Jr. said the charge for Robert Stevenson, 59, carries a maximum penalty of 20 years in prison, a $250,000 fine or both.

One of the six banks includes the Citizens Bank on Hudson Avenue in Irondequoit, which took place in April 2012.

The other robberies include ones in Syracuse, Kenmore, Utica, New Hartford. and Falconer.
