One company signs lease to stay in Rochester
Rochester, N.Y. One company has signed a lease to stay at the Eastman Business Park, instead of moving operations to other states Governor Cuomo announced Sunday.
Arnprior Rapid Manufacturing Solutions Inc., will be keeping the fabricated metal manufacturer in Rochester which will not only keep 150 jobs in the city, but will also create 30 more by investing $3.68 million in new technology and equipment.
For New York State, job one is jobs, especially when it comes to expanding economic opportunities upstate, Governor Andrew Cuomo said in a statement. It is because of companies like Arnprior that New York is now ranked number two in the nation in number of jobs created since the recession and why the greater Rochester region is a leader in the field of advanced manufacturing.
Arnprior opened its doors in 2008, with Eastman Kodak being the majority of its business. Now, 82 percent of the companys business comes from different markets, including aerospace, automotive, defense systems, and medical markets.
