Homicide eyewitness shares what he saw

Rochester, N.Y. It was business as usual on Saturday at the S&S Mini Mart on Lyell Ave. Rochester Police say a Rochester man was shot and killed the night before. He has been identified as Samuel Gibson, 21.

13WHAM spoke with an eyewitness who wished to remain anonymous. He tells us the shooting was a bigger shock because he knew Gibson for many years.

"I heard the shotgun, said the eyewitness, it was not even a minute. I tried to save him but it was too late."

Police say Gibson was pronounced dead on the scene. They say it started when an altercation quickly escalated inside the store.

The eyewitness also said the victim had an identical twin brother.

"His mother was upset crying and all of his family was outside, he said.
