Clifford Ave. Head Start Center to stay open

Washington -- Rep. Louise Slaughter (D-Fairport) has announced a new bill that will help keep Rochester's Clifford Avenue Head Start center open.

The Omnibus funding bill was passed last month and it restored the 5.27% of the funding cut to the Head Start program at Action for a Better Community, Inc.

Last year, the program saw a $700,000 cut that would have forced the center to close this summer.
