Thruway increasing security after breach

Sloatsburg, N.Y. -- A credit and debit card breach has led to increased security at rest stops along the New York State Thruway.

Investigators found a skimming device last week at a gas station at a Thruway plaza in downstate Rockland County.

Skimming devices allow thieves to steal credit and debit card information. Travelers have been urged to check their bank statements for any signs of fraud.
