4 prostitution arrests at local hotels
Henrietta, N.Y. -- On Tuesday afternoon, Monroe County sheriff's deputies arrested four women for prostitution at three different hotels.
A spokesman for the sheriff's office explained that the hotels are working with investigators and that the women were solicited through internet advertisements.
13WHAM News inspected court documents on file at Henrietta Town Court and learned the following about each of the arrests.
Ashley Armstead, 20, and Michaela Grant, 27, both of Syracuse, were arrested around 2:11 p.m. at the Days Inn on West Henrietta Road. They are considered co-defendants in the criminal complaint and are accused of agreeing to provide 39 of sexual services for a price of $170.
Jennifer Wheeler, 29, of Orlando, Fla., was arrested around 4:30 p.m. at the Best Western Hotel on Jefferson Road. The criminal complaint accuses Wheeler of agreeing to accept $250 in return for one hour of sexual services.
Saffiah Brooks, 20, of Rochester, was arrested around 4:30 p.m. at the Microtel on Lehigh Station Road. Brooks is accused of agreeing to accept $220 in return for one hour of sexual services.
All the defendants were arraigned in Henrietta Town Court and released from custody while expected to return to court at a later date.
