Post office close to honoring fallen soldier

Brockport, N.Y. -- The post office in Brockport is one step closer to being dedicated to a fallen soldier.

The House passed a bill Monday to name to Main Street post office branch after Army Staff Sgt. Nicholas Reid, who died in December 2012 at age 26 after suffering injuries in an explosion while serving in Afghanistan.

Reid was a 2004 Brockport High School graduate. The bill will now head to the Senate.
