Nguyen trial testimony resumes

Rochester, N.Y. -- Testimony resumed Tuesday in the trial of the woman accused of falsifying records to buy guns used in the Christmas Eve ambush on West Webster firefighters in 2012.

Prosecutors said Dawn Nguyen was paid by William Spengler to buy the weapons he used to kill his sister Cheryl, Tomasz Kaczowka and Mike Chiapperinni during a fire at his home on Lake Road in Webster. Two other firefighters were also injured.

A clerk at Gander Mountain in Henrietta said Spengler was with Nguyen when she bought the weapons.

Defense attorneys said Nguyen bought the guns for herself and were then stolen.
