Kansas shooter reportedly former KKK leader

Overland Park, Kan. (AP) -- Police in Kansas havent said it officially, but a jail official said the man being held on suspicion of three shooting deaths is a well-known white supremacist and former Ku Klux Klan leader.

Sunday's attacks occurred at a Jewish community center and Jewish retirement complex near Kansas City.

The family of a doctor and his 14-year-old grandson said they were two of three people killed Sunday when a man opened fire outside a Jewish community center and retirement complex.

The jail official said Frazier Glenn Cross, 73, faces a preliminary charge of first-degree murder. Cross had once been the subject of a nationwide manhunt.
