Palmyra police chief stepping down

Palmyra, N.Y. After 26 years of service, Palmyra Police Chief David Dalton is retiring.

According to Mayor Piccola, the village board has a policy that says no employee will work beyond the mandatory age of retirement.

Chief Dalton is 70 years old. He will retire May 6.

Chief Dalton has not turned in his retirement papers yet, but the board is expecting them.
