Astorino chooses running mate

White Plains, N.Y. -- The Republican candidate for governor has picked his running mate.

Westchester County Executive Rob Astorino has named Chemung County Sheriff Christopher Moss to run with him in November. Moss is the president of the New York State Sheriff's Association and an outspoken critic of the New York SAFE Act.

Moss will be formally nominated by the state GOP at its convention Thursday.

Gov. Andrew Cuomo has not named who will replace Lt. Gov. Bob Duffy on his ticket.
