Lewek could have charges reduced
Rochester, N.Y. -- Charges against a man arrested in connection with the death of a missing man could be reduced or dismissed Thursday.
Dr. William Lewek is applying to a drug treatment program. Doing so could reduce drug possession and evidence tampering charges against him, pending a judges final decision on the case.
Lewek was arrested following an investigation on Rowley Street in January, when police found the body of Matthew Straton in his backyard.
Lewek has not been charged in Stratons death, but did face drug charges after police found cocaine on his property.
