Cuomo leads Astorino in new poll

Loudonville, N.Y. - Governor Andrew Cuomo holds a significant lead in the polls against his Republican challenger for reelection, according to a new poll.

Research conducted by Siena College said that Cuomo holds a 36 point lead over Westchester County Executive Rob Astorino, at 57-21 percent.

The study also found that Astorino remains unknown to more than two-thirds of New Yorkers.

However, only a little more than a quarter of those polled said that New Yorkers were better off now than they were four years ago. Fewer than 25 percent said they were doing worse. Half of those polled said that they are doing the same now as four years ago.
