Man seriously injured in Dewey Avenue crash

Rochester, N.Y. Rochester firefighters extricated a Rochester man from underneath his rolled over car around 5 a.m. Sunday, according to the Rochester Police Department.

The 25-year-old man was driving north on Dewey Avenue when his car left the road, hit a utility pole and eventually came to a stop northwest of Dewey Avenue, police said.

He was taken to Strong Memorial Hospital by ambulance where he is currently in serious but stable condition, police said.

Investigators said that speed appears to be a factor in the crash.
