Deputies: Road rage leads to crash

Canandaigua, N.Y. - Two drivers are facing citations after deputies said that a road rage incident led to a crash Tuesday.

Ontario County Sheriff's deputies said that 21-year-old Nicole House and 29-year-old Amanda Hampton were traveling on County Road 30 around 3:30 p.m. when they began trading obscene gestures with each other.

According to deputies, Hampton passed House - and then, soon after, House herself attempted to pass Hampton.

Deputies said that Hampton then slammed on her brakes, causing House to rear-end her car.

House - who is 15 weeks pregnant - was taken to F.F. Thompson Medical Center for stomach pain. Her brother, 23-year-old Michael Langdon and her three-year-old daughter, Zoey, were also in the car. Zoey was taken to the hospital for evaluation.

Both have been discharged from the hospital.

Both Hampton and House were issued citations for reckless driving. House was additionally ticketed for following too closely.
