Board approves vacant church demolition

Rochester, N.Y. The Rochester Zoning Board approved demolition of a vacant church on West Main Street Wednesday.

The decision was made under two conditions, the building that replaces it must house a grocery store and financing for the project and business has to be secured in advance.

The Landmark Society has been fighting to preserve the building.
