Progress on I-Square development

Irondequoit, N.Y. The I-Square development in Irondequoit is starting to take shape.

A new ice cream parlor is now open for business and within the next few months, "the market" will open.

The building has six businesses including a restaurant and wine bar.

Thursday, a dual-purpose roof garden was installed.

It allows rain water to be re-used to irrigate the surrounding development and provides a place to relax.

Theyll be able to go up there, sit out, almost like a cruise ship deck where you have seating, just a lot of nice stuff around to enjoy, says I-Square developer, Mike Nolan.

The development wont be fully complete for another five years.
