Manuel to Start For Bills vs Patriots

As expected, rookie quarterback EJ Manuel will start for the Bills on Sunday in the season opening game against the New England Patriots.  Head Coach Doug Marrone made the official announcement on Wednesday morning before the team headed out to practice to out in the game plan for New England. Manuel is recovering from what the team had described as minor surgery on his knee after an injury in the second pre season game against the Minnesota Vikings

The Bills drafted Manuel in round one of the NFL draft after his career at Florida State University  He had competed against veteran Kevin Kolb and Manuel had apparently won the starting job before his knee injury. After Kolb suffered a season ending concussion, the Bills turned to undrafted rookie Jeff Tuel.
