Sabres routed in Philly 5-2

The Buffalo Sabres lost 5-2 in Philadelphia on Sunday. Buffalo has clinched the worst record in the NHL with just four games remaining this season.

The Sabres fell behind 1-0 after the first period, but three Philadelphia goals made it 4-0 heading into the third period.

Cody Hodgson and Mike Weber each scored for the Sabres in the third, but it was far too little too late.

Nathan Lieuwen got the start between the pipes for the Sabres, stopping 32 of the 37 shots he faced. The Sabres managed just 19 shots themselves.

The Sabres will host the Detroit Red Wings on Tuesday.
