“Pepsi and Beyoncé are looking to their fans to help kick off this year’s Pepsi Super Bowl XLVII Halftime Show. From now through Jan. 19, fans can submit photos of themselves in hopes of being selected to appear in an on-air introduction welcoming Beyoncé to the stage for her halftime performance.
The promotion encourages fans to submit photos of specific "poses" – head bopping, feet tapping, hips shaking – for the chance to be included with hundreds of other fans in a video that will kick off the Halftime Show on CBS on Feb. 3. Thousands of entries have already been submitted at www.pepsi.com/halftime using the hashtag #PepsiHalftime.
In addition, those who submit their photos by Jan. 11 will be entered into a drawing for a chance to be one of 50 fans selected for an on-field experience during the halftime show, and seen by millions of viewers at home.” ~Pepsi
Rochester native Mariah English has been selected as one of the 50 fans to join Beyoncé for an on-field experience during the halftime show! Out of the millions of submissions from around the nation, Mariah’s picture stood out. Her unique picture showed originality, creativity, and Pepsi spirit, which impressed the judges. Mariah is a graduate of Wilson Magnet High School and is currently a student at Monroe Community College studying Fashion Merchandising. Mariah’s dream is to become a celebrity fashion stylist, and having this opportunity could be her big break! As a town we should embrace Mariah on her success and accomplishments, while showing our community the positivity that comes out of Rochester. Let’s overwhelm Mariah with our support as she travels to New Orleans, LA to dance with Beyoncé and follow her dreams!
