Al Sigl rallied his daily radio listeners to get involved wherever there was a need and garnered nationwide attention when he created what would become the first civilian blood donor registry over 75 years ago.
Al Sigl Community of Agencies and the American Red Cross of Greater Rochester invite you to give blood on Al Sigl’s birthday to commemorate this important part of Rochester history.
From 11:30AM to 3:30 PM on Monday, March 18th at the Al Sigl Elmwood Campus at the corner of Elmwood and South Avenues, blood donors are welcome to enjoy birthday cake while helping to meet a critical community need.
No appointment is necessary; walk-ins are welcome. Please bring photo ID. Those who have last donated on or before January 21 are eligible. To learn more, please visit alsigl.org or call (585) 442-4102, ext. 8943.
