This Home School Nature Program will focus on Audubon New York’s For the Birds!, an
elementary education program that teaches environmental awareness, science, and
appreciation of nature through the study of birds. Designed for home-schooled children ages 5-12, children will use field marks to visually identify species of birds commonly found in their neighborhood. Students will also learn how to use a field guide to identify an unknown bird. Then, children will use observation skills to identify wildlife living in their neighborhood. They will display and analyze their data. Space is limited and registration is required. Call 315-365-3588 or email montezuma@audubon.org. Fee: $7/child. Montezuma Audubon Center 2295 State Route 89, Savannah, NY 13146.
