Major repairs are being made to the Rush Reservoir on Rush-Henrietta Town Line Road. It is a two year project that is expected to be completed this fall. Ultimately the reservoir will have a floating cover on it for the first time.
In this photo you can see the first layer of lining being installed at the southwest end of the reservoir. After this fabric lining is installed, a waterproof lining will be placed over it. Workers will hot seal the seams.
Along the circumference of the reservoir there is a new concrete footer. Workers have hand-drilled over 4,200 bolts into this footer to which will be attached the liner and the cover.
