This old Boxelder tree which is quite hollow finally after all these years and storms, has received it's first major demise. We're thankful it was a north wind which caused it to fall across our driveway and not toward the wires leading to our house. Much thanks to Joey and Larry, who farm behind our house for removing it for us. Neighbor helping neighbor in South Lima,NY. By the way, the reason it's called the Keebler Elf tree is due to it's large opening on the base with a large hollow area. It also contains a face when one looks closely around the opening.
